I grew up on the coast in the northern suburbs of Perth Western Australia.
At the time I enjoyed playing football in the winter and swimming & surfing in the summer.
It was a far cry from teaching horsemanship.
It all started when my family and I went on holiday to a farm stay where they had horses.
From that point, I have always needed to play with, working with and riding the horses.
I have been training horses and teaching horsemanship for 18 years now and have had to opportunity to teach on 4 different continents in over 10 different countries, helping recreational riders through to Olympic level riders. I have had the fortune of riding with some great horsemen and woman myself, from all disciplines and with different prospectives. All of this has helped me, along with years of experience and experimentation to come up with this program for you.
I live on a beautiful 58 acre property in Yornup WA, with my wife and 2 kids.
We train horses here at our facility, as well as providing camps varying in duration;
as well as breed some cattle and grow little hay.
In the last 4 years, I have ventured back into the competitive world; to measure the effectiveness of a natural foundation and it has really solidified the value of understanding horse psychology, biomechanics and the power of patterns. My passion is the cattle sports and in-particular Campdrafting. I’m now in the process developing some higher quality horses to target some of the bigger events in the coming years.
I look forward to helping you with the ingredients you need to become more successful with horses.
